The American Anti-Corruption Institute (AACI) invites stakeholders to submit comments on a proposed Standard on Fighting Corruption (SFC).

The Standards on Fighting Corruption (SFCs) guide those charged with governance, executive management, and other decision-makers in implementing The Ten Principles of Fighting Corruption effectively, efficiently, and intelligently. The SFCs are intended to help stakeholders:

1. Promote consistent practice, responsible conduct, and effective responses to identified corruption risks.
2. Assist management, those charged with governance, and other stakeholders in assessing an entity’s commitment to fighting fraud and corruption.
3. Support institutional efforts to reduce corruption risks to acceptably low levels.

The effective fight against corruption supports institutional integrity, public trust, financial stability, sound governance, and sustainable economic performance. Persistent corruption and money laundering risks continue to demonstrate the need for practical standards, competent oversight, effective internal control, and disciplined implementation of The Ten Principles of Fighting Corruption.

The AACI invites stakeholders to submit comments on the proposed Standard on Fighting Corruption (SFC) through the communication channel identified in the consultation notice. Unless a different period is specified, the public comment period remains open for the period stated in the consultation notice from the date of publication on The AACI website.

Feedback and Comments

The AACI welcomes feedback and comments from stakeholders, professionals, institutions, academics, and members of the public on its proposed Standards on Fighting Corruption (SFCs).

By submitting comments, the submitting party acknowledges and agrees that The AACI may review, use, edit, summarize, incorporate, adapt, publish, or disregard any comment, in whole or in part, at its sole discretion. The AACI is not obligated to respond to any submission, publish any submission, attribute any submission, or incorporate any proposed change.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, comments submitted to The AACI are provided on a non-confidential basis. By submitting comments, the submitting party grants The AACI a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, adapt, summarize, publish, and incorporate the comments, in whole or in part, in connection with The AACI’s standards, publications, consultation papers, exposure drafts, educational materials, websites, and related professional activities, without compensation or attribution.

Submission of comments does not create any advisory, contractual, fiduciary, employment, agency, partnership, or other legal relationship between the submitting party and The AACI. The AACI does not accept responsibility for any loss caused to any person or entity that acts or refrains from acting in reliance on consultation materials, exposure drafts, proposed standards, published standards, or related communications.
